Well, time flies and I had no idea it has been so long since I wrote something in this blog. Well here I am. Healing is the topic of this blog so lets discuss what happens when we don't really want to heal. Now you may say that everyone who is ill wants to be pain free, and that is true, but sickness also gets us out of stuff we don't really want to do. Many people value the escape of sickness and so we will never really rid our society of disease, how else would we escape in a polite way without hurting other people's feelings. Think about it, and ask yourself how many times you have used illness to get out of something. Eithor you faked an illness or actually manifested one so that you could excuse yourself with no harm done.
So do we really want healing...I think not.

The World is Perfect Just as it is!

Jan, you said that you liked the high energy that came from Reiki, that perhaps it can be addictive. I must agree. It connects us to our inner peace, to other people and to spiritual energy. I remember when I first started out doing Reiki that I often thought to myself, gee I hope someone calls and wants a session soon, I really need to do some Reiki on someone. It pulls us out of ourself and into the energy of life.
You also said that sometimes life feels right - on an intuitive level, and this I have found to be true as well.
When we meditate, do energy work, or tap the realm of spirit, we will find that everything just seems to be ok. Nothing troubles us in that space. How can that be when our conscious mind determines that this is one messed up world?
Deep inside, when all is quiet and still, our higher wisdom knows that the world is unfolding just as it needs to to meet the needs of all of us in it. Truth is the world is exactly perfect for we have created it and all the conditions in it.
It will heal and change as we heal and change. So no need to fight the state of the world, accept it as a perfect reflection of our group mind.
Want to make changes in the world....make changes in yourself.

Waking up

Jan, I really liked your description of life after death that you posted on my last blog. Who ever posted the anonymous one about wanting to wakeup because their life seemed to be quite bad and they were looking forward to escaping it, I am not sure I have good news for you.

I have often felt the need to wakeup to escape this life as well. But not so much because mine was so bad but becasue I could not tolerate to see all the pain and suffering in the world.

My favorite spiritual resource, A Course in Miracles revealed that to wake up to the truth has nothing to do with dying or the release from this world. But it was more about understanding that we are making this world and every event in it. And that as we begin to see the world differently and think differently we can change our lives for the better.

But the difficulty seems to be the seeing differently and changing our present circumstances that we are apparently creating.

This is the beginning of having the truth dawn on our awareness. And the more truth we allow into our minds the happier we become with our lives.

The Course also explains that we should always ask for our mind to be healed so that we can begin the process of seeing differently which will lead to transforming our lives into happiness and joy.

Good luck, we all must keep trying to see with our spiritual sight and pretty soon we will all wake up together.

Life After Death

Now here is a question that has haunted us for generations. Is there really life after death? We all want to believe there is. In fact there are many many books, theories, movies, religions and mediums that will attest to this truth. But the strange part is that there is no consistent information out there. Even the major religions of the world have conflicting stories and beliefs.

So how do we know for sure or should we really even care. Perhaps we spend way to much time worrying about the after life and not enough time living a great present life. Can we ever really know for sure or do we desperately need our beliefs and feel good theories to get us through the loss and tragedy of our present life when it presents us with death.

Other interesting theories say there is no death, just a transition from one story to the next. They would say that the illusion of death is just a silly story and as meaningless as falling asleep and waking up in the dream world. Or maybe our present life is just a dream, and when in this life we dream that we die, we finally wake up to our real state of being. I would be interested to hear any I KNOW FOR SURE stories if they are out there……

Who are we?

Who are we … really?

There seems to be so many roles to play, and so many people demanding our attention. And yet, how can this matter if everything is an illusion?

Have we created all this busyness just to satisfy our own need to be important? And if we did not need to feel special and important then perhaps all our busyness would disappear. Silly little life really – we are all trapped within the walls of our own insecurity. And yet – We are all rather amusing aren’t we? We find each other’s dramas fascinating. We love to tell others of the gossip we heard about someone else’s life. I wonder what happens when we stop finding other people’s lives amusing. What would happen if we put all our attention into our own moods, behaviors and decisions? Perhaps we would have more energy for the things we really want. But here comes the real question: What is it that we really want?

Take a moment now to write out what you really want your life to look like….What is important to you? Simplify it down to the core concepts.

And when you are done – have a good look to see what you are doing to make it happen.

Just some thoughts on the real meaning of life and why we never seem to get around to it.

Comments on Creative Visualization

Some of you have noticed that in the comments on my last blog there was an article posted on Creative Visualization. I have no idea where that came from, but it was interesting. It was not relevant to the topic, but that’s ok, someone needed to advertise and so we let it be.

But since it’s there let’s talk about creative visualization. I have used this type of technique before and if you go to the link they left it takes you to Anthony Robbins information. I studied Anthony Robbins stuff and rather liked it. Back in my powerful manifest abundance and success days when I was climbing the corporate ladder, so to speak, I used this a great deal and created a successful career that I very much enjoyed. The principles work.

But now in my more quiet spiritual awareness phase of life I look to contrast the skills of my twenties with the wisdom of my forties.

A Course in Miracles would probably say… learning creative visualization is good for you to understand your own creative power, but using it to create physical wealth and abundance is not going to get you where you really want to go.

For what we really want deep down inside is a return to our authentic, spiritual nature where we know we have all the creative power there is and that we need nothing for we have everything. Then there would be no striving, just accepting of our natural abundance. But of course this takes our awareness out of this limited physical existence to our unlimited spiritual condition.

A Course in Miracles would say don’t waste your time trying to manifest interesting things in the physical reality, but use your mind and creative power to come home. We each have a part to play out in the physical reality that will take us home, but if we are busy manifesting what our ego minds think we should have we will never really know what our spiritual destiny is.

So if you want to use your creative power than use it in an open ended way that says “Show me Divine Force of Creative Energy, show me all that I am and where the most amazing path to live out my destiny lies.” Try that out, you may be surprised at the transformation in your life.

Then instead of manifesting stuff you practice living the presence of divine truth.

A Course in Miracles and the Traps of Language

<>
Ok, so Rana, thanks for your comments! The Course in Miracles can look daunting. In fact there is debate amongst the Course fans that it should be changed to eliminate all the Christian references. Some say that it just trips people up. They want it to be a universal curriculum and skip the Christian references.

I myself come from a strong Christian background and it is a challenge to read the material with clear eyes and not always put the statements into the perspective I was raised with.

In fact it is the process of constantly pushing the material through our conditioned filters that helps us break them down.

It is only our filters that get ruffled by the terminology not our spirit. If you continue to read and push through the language of the course and your own personal resistance, you will discover an amazing result. In order to push through you are also tearing down. You are subconsciously unwinding your conditioning. Before you know it things are changing for you. And in you.

It almost seems miraculous. Just reading it constantly is like a call to the soul. The soul hears even when the conscious and subconscious mind fights it. But the soul hears and responds.

It is like a medicine that you take in and it just starts working behind the scene. I can not adequately explain the wonderful life changing effect this book can have – even if your mind fights it – keep going.

It is written in seeming old English and often the sentences don’t seem to make sense. But the truth is the logic brain can’t get a hold on the information, but the soul can. So you feed the soul its own truth while the logic brain flounders around trying to get you to stop this insane reading material.

But push on dear friends; you will awaken something deep within you that will transform your life, quietly and consistently. Just keep going, don’t listen to your logic brain and ego based thoughts they are meant to keep you lost.
